Oracle

Simple rules, or so it seems,
We the fools or so he deems,
Fall in cesspools and hear the screams,
The blind man rules or so he dreams,

Churning misery at every step,
A setting ennui, need a pep,
It happened in history, in the month of Sep,
Clandestine mystery, veiled in skep,

Mark the setting sun, at its meridian,
Sink and run and wear a medallion,
Win the big race son; sleep in a mausoleum,
Life is fun and Mephistophelean.

P.S: The Oracle didn’t exactly tell me what I wanted to hear. Maybe, I was just not ready for it. But, that was many a summer ago…almost a decade. Much water has flowed and now the Oracle is nowhere in sight…
