Somewhere Life Is A Figment of Imagination

"Wish I was a bird", I ponder

I see through the glass pane of the window next to my cubicle, everyday. People are busy getting to their work place. Working wives cursing their non working husbands, woking mothers; their children for not finding that missing sock and are ready for their daily routine.

I glance at a beautiful bright morning; but the sparrows are missing, but it dare not deter the crows...all looking to fill their already hungry stomachs and hearts.

"Wish I was a bird", I ponder, for only a few moments...quickly realizing it was a momentary lapse of reason.

Why oh why can't I fly? Look at life from the sky? It's not what it looks like...it's not what it is...but life goes on...and so do I...

Give Me The Gong

Sing, sing me a song,
For it's been so long,
Sing, sing me a song,
I have the bells, but give me the gong,

Speak, speak with your soft voice,
Let my soul rejoice,
Speak, speak with your soft voice,
I have the words, but, you make the choice,

Hum, hum a tune,
On a full night moon,
Hum, hum a tune,
Night, morning and noon,

Look, look into my eye,
Take me up high,
Look, look into my eye,
Killer looks, I want to die.

Run

Twitching mind, Always runnning behind,
Twisted soul, Life's on a roll,
Mothers of the damned, This system's not manned,
They are coming, You wouldn't want to be caught dreaming...

Ode To Gibran

Yesterday, on the granite steps of the office,
I saw a woman sitting between two men,
One side of her face was pale,
The other was blushing.

Mr. Gibran...are u listening?

She

She was soft but she appeared hard to the outside world,
Many KNEW her and not many,
I KNOW her inside out,
But only as a far fetched dream,
Slowly but surely becoming an inflectional person in my life.

Dilettante

Offsets in life,
The paradigm accentuation,
A dancing spirit and lilting grace,
Soaring like a free bird across the skies,
What counts, counts not,
A writer, who writes her own destiny,
She's a hurt child,Oh I welcome you to this world of strife,
Knows not what she does is right,
But goes on scripting her life,
Steps taken forwards,
Expressions worth a thousand sun,
She puts up a brave fight with her emotions,
And sometimes...wins too,Shaken but not stirred,
Life's a priority,
She is the Dilettante.

Wonder

Walking past the shadowed Grave,
Of eyesight stuck gazing towards the sky,
Thinking of reality if one wonders,
Of the architectural skills the creator hath possessed,

Blazing furious stars a billion light years away,
Looks like shining tiny diamonds here from our home,
No wonder poets and lovers vouch for the stars,
To express and impress a waiting soul,

Eons passed by for a man to evolve,
And took him many a long mile to walk upright,
The grooves in his brain are the labyrinths of time,
Evolutions and nature still waiting, to welcome a creature unknown,

Everything's moving, taking a final journey,
A journey which will cease its being,
What a shame if we are found alone, in this universe of infinite abyss,
As the purpose of birth still remains unknown.

Fear

As we had passed the lanes of existence,
Greatness often binds our soul into being,
But they can't live to see us live,
So they lead us to the void of Hades,
Crush our emotions, burn our dreams,
Still, not resting in peace,
Of the fear that we may see the light of the day,
Brings respite to this aching soul.

Who Do I Sing This To?

As I play this guitar self taught,Within me stirs a thought,
Of the life here, Oh! this is such a drought,
May be I'm with my wild imaginations caught,
Men, kill men, in the name of religion,
As if, they own a brain of pigeon,
A little bit of diligence,
Would make a world of difference,
Who do I sing this to?
Such deaf ears around me,
None interested and much too little,
Tell me, whom do I sing this to?

Dream

A dream not soon forgotten,
Long remembered and succinctly,
Clarity and clairvoyance,
A clear blue sky,
Buoyance in happiness,
A cheerful disposition,
Turquoise eyed miracle,
Will always cherish this moment.
